LISTEN… is the result of my collaboration with the lovely people at The Christian Science Publishing Society in Boston, USA, who wanted to release material from one alongside some other songs as an album for their Reading Rooms around the world. Like one, most of the songs are just me, my piano, and a double bass. Of the 16 tracks, seven songs and three instrumental tracks also appear on one but there are four new recordings of songs previously performed with The Newsong Group, and two new songs. Enjoy! You can also download individual tracks from the album in the Digital Downloads part of the shop.
The album includes three bonus tracks that are not available as individual downloads: piano solos of ‘Feed My Sheep’, From Sense to Soul and Behold What Manner of Love, all of which make beautiful preludes or postludes for church services.
The MP3 edition includes all 16 tracks from the album (256kbps) plus a PDF of the lyric booklet, all bundled into a ZIP file.

one, my first solo album, was recorded as an independent project in 2015 using just piano and bass for accompaniment for a beautiful, stripped-back sound. Some of the songs went on to appear on Listen … for Thy Voice, which was produced for sale in Christian Science Reading Rooms. The songs that weren’t included on Listen are now available to buy as a digital EP.

On March 28 2020, as the world wrestled with words like ‘pandemic’ and ‘lockdown’, I set my iPhone on the end of my piano and began to play. I’d been moved to pray, write, and share what I could, and that first concert included a brand new composition, ‘Love’s Ever Presence’.
40 concerts and 60 new songs later, I find that many have been inspired by my growing understanding of HOME – our spiritual centre of peace, joy and power, ever-present and available to all. And this, my eighth album as a songwriter, is a family affair, reuniting me with my Newsong Group friend Tamsin Bland, and her two sons, Jamie and Monty, whose skilful musicianship has brought added layers and depth to 19 of my new compositions as well as a couple of old favourites.
I pray that this selection – this labour of love – brings peace and healing to all who listen.
This MP3 download version of the album contains two bonus tracks.
